I've been getting lot's of email's about having me customize the Advanced Lock for them. Now I'll give you a quick walk through on how to add these theme to your iPhone and iPod.
EDIT: I would like to thank Emmanuel for pointing this out: make double sure you have OpenSSH installed on your device. This will allow the your device to allow incoming SSH connections. I know when I got my iPhone, I made the mistake of not adding this right away, and it boggled me for a little bit until it dawned on me.
First, make sure you have SBSettings installed on your device (to access SBSettings, swipe down on the status bar at the top of the screen). Use that to find your Wi-Fi Address (make sure your computer and your device are on the same wireless network). Next, connect to your device using Filezilla for Windows or Cyberduck for Mac. The user name is"root" and the password "alpine". Find the "/" directory, then go to library and then themes. Once in the themes folder, drop the AdvancedLock.theme file into it, then load up Winterboard on your device. You should see it ther if you did everything right.
EDIT: I've been informed by DEL that Filezilla requires you to have a host name... sadly, I can't test Filezilla because of my Mac laptop, so I recommend you use WinSCP for Windows.
Enjoy all!!!

Welcome to iMod, your source for custom themes for both your iPhone and iPod. I'll show you how to install your themes, keep you up to speed on the current firmware jailbreaks, as well as create custom themes for visitors.

The host name for filezilla is your IP Address that your mobile device is using. For iPhone and iPod go to settings/ wifi/ then click on the blue arrow next to the network your connected to and then you'll see IP Address: xxx.xxx.x.xxx for example.
ReplyDeleteThank you James!
ReplyDeleteAlos, WinSCP requires a host name, but the smae applies it's still your mobile IP Address
